Brandt Urban Design also serves on the National Design Review Panel, providing independent design advice to applicants and local authorities.
We’re an urban design and masterplanning practice based in Winchester, Hampshire, specialising in residential and mixed-use projects across the UK. We work with house builders, promoters, and landowners, and operate as a director-led studio with “hands-on” involvement in every project.
Our team take every project from first sketch to final submission. This approach ensures design quality, clarity, and intent are maintained throughout, giving clients confidence that their project is always guided by experienced leadership.
The studio is led by Tim Brandt, a talented Urban Designer and Chartered Town Planner with a strong eye for detail and a passion for the built environment. Tim leads public and private sector projects for landowners, promoters, as well as national and regional house builders, taking schemes from concept through to delivery.
Tim is supported by a wider team including graphic designers, architects, urban designers & illustrators to support the delivery of projects to the highest quality. We aim to collaborate to bring you the best outcome possible for your ideas.
Ben joined Brandt Urban Design in 2026 and bring a wide range of experience with public and private sector projects. He specialises in strategic masterplanning, with a particular focus on feasibility layouts and outline planning applications.
He leverages his experience of detailed schemes to create deliverable, well designed proposals and promote placemaking. Ben enjoys presenting projects with a wide range of hand drawn and digital techniques and is an accomplished graphic designer and architectural illustrator.
